约翰·伦伯恩（John Renbourn） ，英国著名的的finger style吉他手，词曲作者，1944年8月8日生于英国伦敦。他是一位民谣音乐家，音乐中包含了民谣、古典音乐、蓝调、爵士、世界音乐等风格元素。早年学习古典吉他，60年代受节奏蓝调新浪潮影响，参与了“民谣复兴”运动，与福音歌手 Dorris Henderson 合作完成了两张唱片。John Renbourn 与吉他手 Bert Jansch 一起开发了被称为“民间巴洛克式“的风格，逐渐形成了民谣、古典、蓝调、爵士相融合的一种音乐风格。也是在那个时候，John Renbourn 和 Bert Jansch、贝司手 Danny Thompson、鼓手 Terry Cox 组成了 Pentangle 乐队，获得相当当大的成功，1968年到美国巡回演出，并在卡内基音乐大厅和纽波特民谣音乐节亮相演出。
到了七八十年代，John Renbourn 侧重于古典音乐，在电影《Scream for Help》原声中担任演奏。1988年与长笛手 Tony Roberts、词人 Maggie Boyle 和吉他手 Steve Tilston 组建“Ship of Fools"乐队，发行了一张同名专辑，举办了多场音乐会，其中售完的哈弗与 Hasty Pudding Club 的演出记录因为音乐会发起人与音响工程师的纠纷遗憾没有留下拷贝。进入2000年，John Renbourn 继续自己的唱片与演出之路，2011年发布了一张器乐演奏专辑《Palermo Snow》。
